With a neutral last and medium pre-tensioning, you can perform just as well in the climbing hall as well as on the crag. Is that a hook-and-loop fastener or lacing? You might hear this question a few times. Red Chili combines both with the Fusion II. This has many advantages, as you can quickly adjust them on the fly, your midfoot has a little more room to move around and the closure is not as rigid as with conventional hook-and-loop fasteners. Plus, these climbing shoes get sustainability bonus points with their closure. This closure consists of strong and abrasion-resistant lines of Technora Aramid, which were left over from the production of paragliders and have now been further processed into the Fusion II. Underneath the closure lies a 3 mm thick neoprene tongue, which provides extra comfort alongside ensuring an even distribution of force against your feet.
